Lovable for websites & landing pages

Startup idea: someone should really build the Lovable for websites. It would replace Framer & Webflow, generate really beautiful designs one-shot, be easily editable by non-devs and come with pre-built components like a blog/cms, seo setup, sitemap, landing page components, design system, one-click publish & hosting etc.

Most websites & landing pages are pretty predictable. There are exceptions, but design has generally narrowed down to a few patterns. For most companies, you don't need something exceptional, you need something market standard to get deals and communicate your value. Generally minimalist, modern, few colours. 90% of B2B saas websites fall in one of a few patterns.

Btw I'm sure there's some other "Lovable for websites" startups out there - but none have dominated the market & the tech is still new and changing quickly. So I think there's still an opportunity to turn this into a billion dollar co. Everyone is already used to paying for websites too (due to hosting) so it's also an easier sell.

And yes Framer / Webflow could do this but it's been 3 years and I have barelyy seen really useful AI features come out of these companies (to my disappointment, I really loved using them). Building AI native allows you to move way faster without the past tech decisions that older companies had to make at their time.

That's why I moved to Antigravity / Claude Code for most of this design stuff. But the outputs weren't great and there was a lot of repetitive work and time needed to get it to shippable standard. It's also a lot of friction to expect non-devs to move.

Could be a weekend/hackathon project. Worst case scenario you turn it into an agentic design agency. Take on projects, just pass the details to the agent then pass the output back to the client 😂

How you could do it: 1/ Fork Convex Chef / bolt.new's repo for website builders (open source) 2/ Build out a database of standard components that the models can refer to and access all the code. These could be like starting templates too, which the models just edit instead of starting from scratch. Kind of like shadcn but for marketing websites. 3/ Work with a designer (or if you're a designer, design a bunch of these) 4/ Build out a workflow which allows users to just paste their existing website link, it crawls all their pages, extracts all images and text but puts it into fresh modern design. This makes the barrier to switching near zero and captures all context. 5/ For GTM, post website redesigns 5x a day on social media, with a copy template button. Redesign people's ugly websites and dm to them automatically.

Btw I usually write about our journey building an agentic writing workspace Cleve.ai and I think the opportunity there is way bigger & we've made a ton of progress so not taking this up haha. sometimes I have these random ideas while building so just sharing in case.

though if anyone takes this and starts building, reach out to me for mentorship I'll take 0.5-1% 🤣
